Case Study - The Hydraulic Centre - Coventry

Consult worked with a Coventry based engineering company, The Hydraulic Centre.  Following several years of steady growth they experienced a slow down in sales and required help rectifying this.

Consult conducted a Sales & Marketing Audit as the start of a full Business Support Plan.  The Audit highlighted a number of areas on which the business needed to focus and a plan was built to address these over the succeeding 6 to 12 months.  The action items include:

  • Provision of 0845 telephone numbers to provide their customers with local call access
  • Complete re-design and refresh of all marketing literature
  • Phased update of web site to tie in with the production of new marketing material
  • Packaging of a new service offering and a marketing plan to handle the service launch
  • Setting a PR plan and producing Press release for both the printed media and Internet based news services
  • Setting of growth targets for the business and individual sales staff
  • Improvements to the sales management reporting processes and implementation of monthly sales reporting
  • Investigation into available grants including completing application forms and driving the process through to gaining two separate Marketing Grants
